Tapisplage again.....

Just to remind you all of how it was and what we did, here are a few photos. The poster made by the Tapisplage crew( just for us) was beautiful: 'De Breiclub breit voor Poverello (detail above, minus the heart). And knit for Poverello we did - the fantastic handwarmers recommended by Barbara! What a GREAT pattern and end result. How many finished pairs do we have? A few more photos to follow......

Tapisplage!

It was FANTASTIC! Further update to follow but if you are on Facebook you can get an impression: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.223897717625998.76347.197741336908303
Thanks Barbara! X

Guerilla knitters? We know who you are!

Surprised by the knitting on the lampost, bicycle racks and tree by the library there was one question on everyone's lips: who was behind it all? At Tapisplage we met the lovely people from the CVO who told us about their event 'Zot Van Ambachten' at the Bib Oostende on 21 and 22 May. Love knitting? Then you'll love this weekend event as is promises to be full of beautiful things to look at (there is an exhibition in the library forum) and workshops galore. 'What does CVO stand for?', I asked my fellow Tapisplage knitters. Who knew? Not us! Well, it's short for Centrum voor Volwassen Onderwijs. The great thing is that the CVO organises fantastic creative courses, such as sewing, knitting and cooking. You only have to look at the courses on offer to feel inspired to try something new: http://www.cvoww.be/index.php/cursusaanbod

PS. Ladies and gentlemen, don't worry, the Tapisplage update is on its way!

Guerilla knitting

Some wonderful knitting appeared by the library at the weekend. Who's responsible, I wonder?

Revised hours = success!

Here are a few photographs from Sunday to celebrate the success of our 11am rendez-vous. The earlier start seemed like a great success and Dolly, Andree and Chris (the Blondeel sisters) lunched in style! I've got so many ideas for great posts and some super photos so will try and do a daily update all this week. Watch this space!

REMINDER! TAPISPLAGE!!

Don't forget that on Sunday it's Tapisplage from 10 am to 6pm, Hangar 1, Oostende. Barbara and I will be there all day and the idea is to form a knitting circle and give spontaneous knitting lessons. Bring examples of your finished work to make the table look interesting and the idea is to knit for charity - in this case, handwarmers for Poverello or Oxfam. But if you want to knit something else of finish your work in progress - no problem. Barbara has sent a mail to everyone with all the practical information - see you there! Questions? Contact me on 0473 460 932 or Barbara on 0498 83 69 10
