Kerstman Leon !

Rudolph...

Those who attended the December meeting, saw me working on this project. The big question was, how to deal with running out of beige yarn. I took Rozemie's advice and finished the hat with a contrasting colour. The next day I crocheted all the additional bits: nose, snout, antlers, ears, eyes...

And a few days later my colleague, who loves Christmas-decorations, found himself quite jolly looking at the office:

Mission "Red Nose" accomplished :)

Cold Feet?

Cold feet? Why not soak them in a bowl of warm water and finish a few rows? I found this great image on a postard in a museum bookshop (Room 42, Francois Xavier, photography Stefan Rappo).

Keep warm!

It's hard to believe that another year is almost over! Yesterday was our last meeting of 2014. Tea, coffee, gingerbread and peperkoek kept us warm and happy in the Villa Elise. Thanks Ines and Hendrik! They'll be warm hands, heads and hearts this winter: Ines' mitten are heavenly, and Rozemie's hat and mitten set, in powder blue with robins, is exquisite. And one lucky youngster will be both warm and jolly in Rozemie's ladybird hat. Great work ladies!

Check out the dates and times for 2015 and see you soon.

PS. Keep a look for new posts - I've got several photos up my sleeve for December.
