KIP DAY 2011 - people

Rozemie, Claire, Barbara, Winny and I left Oostende for Ghent at 9.42, picking up Sini in Bruges on the way. And here are just a few of the great people that made the day so special...

KIP DAY 2011 - things

KIP day in Gent was fantastic! At the highest point, there were some 30 knitters in Stoffenidee. Here are just a few photographs of the wonderful things people were making (amazing crochet blankets!), the delicious homemade cakes, 10% discount and free goody bags. What more could a knitter want? Thank you Stoffenidee! In the next post, you'll find snapshots of some of the fabulous knitters themselves.....

Thank you Barbara!

Barbara totally surprised me on Sunday with a beautiful handmade card holder. I've taken some photographs to show you. Thank you again Barbara. It's a wonderful and very beautiful object. I'm touched!

Sunny knitting days - next meeting Sunday 5 June

Psychoelephanta

Don't forget it's knitting on Sunday at 11am in the Droge Coo (ending at 2pm). Bring your own lunch. I've been longing to post this wonderful photo of Barbara's lovely elephant - isn't he great? The colours are so fresh and bright it seemed like the perfect inspiration for Sunday! See you soon! Helen
PS. There is a new page on the blog for KIP day 2011 with all the information on the Oostende/Ghent initiative. Join us!

Tapisplage again.....

Just to remind you all of how it was and what we did, here are a few photos. The poster made by the Tapisplage crew( just for us) was beautiful: 'De Breiclub breit voor Poverello (detail above, minus the heart). And knit for Poverello we did - the fantastic handwarmers recommended by Barbara! What a GREAT pattern and end result. How many finished pairs do we have? A few more photos to follow......
