... weaving! These photographs (click to enlarge) show one of Pascale's first attempts at weaving. This is a test piece, or sampler, of all the different weaves that she has been learning. The most amazing thing is how incredibly beautiful it is. The photos don't do it justice at all. And how simple, yet complex, the art of weaving is. Weaving used to be such a common activity and yet so few people today know how to work a loom. We applaud Pascale for signing up, taking a course and mastering this wonderful craft. She's also spinning her own yarn to weave with, and Ines is dying and spinning her own wool. Are spinning and weaving the new knitting?
